Erica Sloan is a rising sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis working on a Political Science major and Writing minor. She writes for the school newspaper Student Life with a focus on editorial and feature pieces, highlighting noteworthy events and people on campus, as well as arts and entertainment news, both on campus and in the larger St. Louis area. Her passion for the arts and specifically ballet led her to the high school residential program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and she continues to take ballet classes whenever she can. This summer, she is an editorial intern at Spoon University and a news intern at the New York Observer. She is a self-proclaimed foodie and yet may occasionally be found eating copious amounts of all-natural peanut butter straight from the jar.
